As the Designated Broker of Newcastle Square Realty Associates, Jim Cosgrove is the Broker of Record for all transactions closing through the agency. He assists the brokerage staff with developing marketing strategies for individual properties and is always available to advise both Brokers and clients during contract negotiations.
As the Manager of Newcastle Square Realty Associates Jim oversees both the daily operations of the firm and its long term strategic plan.
Under Jim's leadership, since 1999, NSRA has grown to hold the largest market share of any firm in the Damariscotta-Pemaquid peninsula market and to be the agency with which the top Brokers in the area wish to affiliate.
In recognition of these efforts, in 2003 Jim was made partner in the firm with the title of Vice President.
Jim is also a top producing Broker and works as a team with Associate Broker Debby Schling to offer clients the highest possible level of service. Jim is a former Lincoln County Realtor of the Year and has served as a President of the Lincoln County Board of Realtors and as Director of both the Maine Board of Realtors and of the Maine Real Estate Information System.
Jim and his wife Linda reside in Damariscotta with their teenage children Natasha and Alex. Jim has been Chair of the Great Salt Bay Consolidated School Committee and of the Damariscotta Secondary Education Board and is a past President of the Damariscotta Newcastle Rotary Club.
Although Jim has many interests including hunting, fishing and golf, his favorite activity is spending time with his family.
