Prior to entering real estate Tom spent 15 years in Augusta with a public interest legal services organization.
Since graduating from the University of Southern Maine, Tom has bought, rehabilitated and sold property in the Damariscotta area for the past 18 years. “I’ve always had an interest in real estate” said Field “starting as a high schooler when I used to answer phones at my father’s real estate firm on Cape Cod. It is important to me to be with a local firm, one that is accountable to local interests and not a large company from out of state. The fact that Newcastle Square consistently sells more property than any other company in this area made my decision easy”.
Active in community affairs, Tom has served on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers, Big Sisters; the Damariscotta Charter Commission, and the Maine Advisory Panel for the Education of Children with Disabilities. He was appointed by Governor Baldacci to the Department of Health & Human Services Reorganization Committee.
